Mindstorms is Back!

mindstorms.gif Good news! Something to do for me on the coming long and dark winter nights: LEGO Mindstorms is back. Now it comes with a 32-bit ARM7 microcontroller, 64K RAM and 256K Flash. And full Mac OS X support. Life is good!

(And finally, an excuse to buy me some LEGO bricks! As a kid, I spent hours with my huge collection of bricks, building lots of crazy things — and learning a lot about mechanics along that. At least until I got my first computer. Since then, computers of all kinds consume most of my time...)

We used the RCX brick with Lejos for the Embedded Systems class projects. It was fun - especially when an unsuspecting passer by would peek into the lab and see a bunch of adults building Lego mechanisms :-)
